Craziness Continues

January 26, 2009

My sister and her two children just arrived. I love having them around, but I am going to keep working. I’ve gotten pretty much done today, which feels nice.

Anyway, I don’t have too much new to say. Nothing new is happening yet. Wish it would. I’m kind of bored lately. But at the same time I’m really enjoying my writing.

Life is crazy

January 24, 2009

t has been a crazy week, and I haven’t worked that much. We were gone Monday and Tuesday. Then Wednesday night some things happened in our family. They are good things. And I’m grateful. But it’s been hard to get much work done.

The thing I am keeping up with pretty well is writing. I am having a lot of of ideas, and that’s fun. I love working on everything.

Nothing new on paying work yet.

I caught some of the inauguration on Tuesday. It concerns me still.. My sister we were visiting said becoming president must be a little like getting married. You go from being Miss so-and-so to being Mrs.. And likewise Mr. Obama became Mr. President. But marriage is for life, becoming president isn’t.

Trying to find work

January 17, 2009

I’m trying to find on going work, have been for the longest time. But ately I’ve decided that I’m open to do anything, not just. We will seeif anything happens.

I’ve been working six days a week lately, and really enjoying it. But we are going to go to my sister’s tomorrow, and I’m looking forward to getting away and not doing much. I love my sister and her children. We have fun together no matter what we do.

One week from tomorrow

January 12, 2009

One week from tomorrow we are going to be getting a new president here in the United States. I do not agree with many of the policies of the new administration. For my reasons, see “What About the Children?”  I worry about his views about abortion and homosexuality. Those are the issues that matter to me the most.

looking at inauguration articles today, Rick Warren, who I like, seems to be the main pastor. But Obama also has an openly homosexual priest as part of the celebrations. I think we are going to see a lot of this man playing to all sides. And it worries me. There are some things that are right and some things that are wrong, and that should be clear.

Looking for work

January 5, 2009

I am looking for work, and sometimes it feels like I have been looking for work since I was eighteen and finishing high school. I am frustrated. I put myself on Craigslist Thursday, and I have gotten some jobs. But most seem to be these jobs where they pay you to do nothing. I want to really work. I am looking around some more. And I sent my resume out to a couple of places today.

This is a prayer week at church. I need to go.

Goals

January 3, 2009

It is Saturday, I know. But I am going to try to start working more on Saturdays. Today I am going to post some goals for the upcoming year.

  • I am going to try to find more paying work. I’ve had some offers lately that are sadly not editing. I think I’m just going to see what the jobs are, and decide as they come.
  • I will work on my novels every day, Monday through Saturday.
  • I will turn my school assignments in on time.
  • I will work on some short stories and start submitting them.
  • I will read something besides my Bible and e-mail every day.
  • I will blog twice a week.
  • I will do better at keeping up with my online writing groups.

That’s the plan, now let’s see if I can stay with it.
