Christmas letter 2016

Dear Friends,

Our family celebration is going to start earlier than usual this year, and I want to at least get a start on my Christmas letter project.

I thoroughly enjoy being a travel agent. That’s a good part of what I do from day to day, so I’d better enjoy.. One of the things I’m planning to start is to write articles and, maybe more importantly, to get them published. My hope with that is to get word out about my business and to make some money at the same time. I am starting to see some growth in my business as of this last month, and it’s exciting to see.

I still write some most days. But that is truly a hobby at this point of my life. I’m certainly not pursuing publication pursuing publication of any of my novels.

is a day I like being out of the house a lot, doing things with friends or family. There is one couple I do things with most Sundays, and they’re some of my dearest friends. Of course, Sunday is also church. I’ve been going to a bible on and off on Wednesdays which is nice.

Family, the best news there is my brother David and his wife Presley had their first baby in June. Mom and I drove out to Texas, and we were there when the baby was born. His name is Elliot Asher, and he is a beautiful baby. All of my siblings will be gathering for Christmas, and I’m really looking forward to that.

Now for the harder news. My extended family was going to gather in May because Grandma was turning ninety. But instead, she had a stroke a couple of days before her birthday. A lot of us did gather around her around that time?. And I’m so glad to say that we had a conversation with her, and I do feel good about where she is now. But she died at end of May. .. I miss her, maybe especially around this time of year. But we’re trying to make  it a point to gather with Mom’s siblings a couple of times a year, and I always enjoy being with my aunts and uncle.

I turned forty this past April. We did a big celebration, and I loved that… Another big highlight for me was getting to go to camp. It was a camp for the disabled. This was a Christian camp that brought with it some much needed spiritual refreshment. I also made some dear friends there.

I hope this finds each one of you well. Thank you for being my friend.
